Biltmore Estate, Asheville, NC
We are about to enter the main house. Weather was picture perfect this day. The house is 1750,000 square feet and has 250 rooms. It was built by George Washington Vanderbilt III between 1889-1895. It is still owned by one of the Vanderbilt’s decendants. The detail on the exterior and interior is remarkable. They dont make buildings like this anymore. Currently our 2 senior editors are in the area. They will be visiting the home on 9/7/2011.

Biltmore Estate Asheville, NC
These two clips were recorded by my mother during our trip to see the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. We were taking the Architects tour in these two clips. She unknowingly set her camera to high sensitivity so that explains why the video looks white. And iMovie decided to omit the sound upon exporting so that’s why there’s no sound.
