Airlander 10 take-off & landing, 10 May 2017

Hybrid Air Vehicles successfully tested Airlander 10 at the Cardington Airfield, Bedfordshire, on 10 May 2017. Airlander took off at 17:28 and flew for a total of 180 minutes, before landing at 20:15. According to HAV, the additional “landing feet” of the Auxiliary Landing System (ALS) performed as expected on landing. This was the third test flight, part of the Flight Test Programme of the Airlander 10 started on 17 August 2016. Airlander 10 is the world's largest aircraft measuring 92 m (302 ft) in length, 26 m (85 ft) in height and is 43.5 m (143 ft) wide. The aircraft is filled with helium, has a total weight of 20000 kg and a payload capacity up to 10000 kg.
